About Us

Key Team RE/MAX is led by Kurt Stenehjem, a lifelong Alaskan. He has a full time assistant who is dedicated to research, file management and marketing. Also on the team are other professionals who provide financing, title work, inspections and repairs.

Kurt was raised by one of Anchorage’s early developers. Kurt learned construction and development sills from his father, Earl. Kurt began building homes and apartment buildings in the early 70’s. He has developed over 500 acres of land including an airpark with two runways in the Matanuska Susitna Valley. He has built, as a licensed General Contractor, cabins, homes, apartments, retail buildings and office buildings. He has managed residential rentals and commercial properties. He has even owned and operated a Bed & Breakfast and a remote lodge.

He was first licensed as a Realtor in the early 80’s and is consistently in the top 10% of Realtors in the Anchorage area. With Kurt’s broad and extensive experience in all aspects of real estate he is uniquely qualified to assist his clients with their varied real estate needs.
